Hi, I’m Courtney
Stories are a powerful tool that help us inspire and encourage one another. Allow me to share mine.
I am a Certified Christian Financial Counselor, owner of the Markley Coaching Group, and author of “The Good Investor’s Guide to: Spiritual Health and Money.”
My days are full of helping stewards grow in generosity and step into their God-given gifts. I specialize in working with leaders who want to avoid the dangers of wealth and pursue a higher kingdom calling. My clients desire a safe place to talk about their life and their money. My hope is this can become your safe place, too.
God has this amazing economy where he takes all of our brokeness and allows us to trade it in for his glory. By his grace, I have seen marriages strengthened and relationships healed. I have witnessed people recover from addictions, and others heal from past trauma. I’ve watched people grow closer to Christ and pursue their God-given ambitions.
I am a wife, a mom to two wildly adorable toddlers and a pup named Franklin, and I am on a mission to change the way we talk about money. Because in the end, it’s never about the math. There are major heart transformations waiting to happen if we are willing to step into the sticky places and walk with people in Christ’s love.
The desire of my heart is to see more Christians fall more deeply in love with Jesus, pick up their cross and follow him with everything they have.

An unexpected joy in my life…
In my mid-twenties, my husband and I were given the opportunity to travel to the Middle East for a short-term mission trip. We loved it so much, we returned six months later. Since then, it has been one of the greatest joys of my life to travel the world, meet fellow believers, and invite more people into God’s kingdom.
Here are a few photos of recent trips: participating in the annual olive harvest in West Bank, and being a camp counselor for a group of Ukrainian kiddos.
Serving the City
When I’m not counseling, I have the privilege of volunteering as the Director of Programs and Services for Tithe Foundation. We strive to honor God with our work, love our neighbor with generosity, and help others do the same.
